Look at it this way, If Rossi was injured last year, Lorenzo would have won 8 races instead of 4. and instead of 3 third positions, they would have been second positions.

This year is no different. Rossi knows, that everyone riding a Yamaha is benefiting from his development work. Plus Lorenzo is disrespectful by nature of being manipulative, and Rossi simply doesn't like it.

So he put up a wall, and told the youngster to fend for himself.
