Looking back at the news reports of 2010 between when rossi announced the switch and before stoner showed his hand on the honda at the test in Jerez everyone thought 2011 was going to be between Jorge and Valentino.

The test in Jerez is when Honda made a big step forward, putting a new rider on it was worth a lot more than any trick gearbox!
