Actually Rossi said it on one occasion and he DIDN'T actually pull off of the track. That is what ultimately matters! His reason for wanting to pull into the pits wasn't due to a lack of effort. The bike was having issues, and he wasn't able to ride comfortably. Furthermore, "saying" something and actually "DOING" something are two very different things. I think about quitting during cardio every time I engage in it, but I don't. What I thought about doing is/was largely irrelevant!
