WSBK and Troy Corser preferred the Superpole format for a number of reasons
(1) it gave each rider an empty track so no "i got blocked" excuses
(2) it gave camera time to each and every bike over the entire lap so sponsors on the slower bikes got guaranteed air time
(2a) spin off was every rider could see each other over the lap to see where they looked good & timed sectors and where they looked outta shape.

Nothing wrong with how it was and if they wanted to get airtime for the crt's then ADD Superpole as cutting set up time for some bikes ain't gonna help and those with money will just focus on the issues they have.

cheap 500cc 2-strokes with no electronics and only rider aid being the right hand wrist and back brake.
