MR X.....Personally i think it HAS to be something to do with the dry bridgestone rubber simply not working with the characteristics of the desmo.
Surely they have tried all kinds of forks, springs, preload, damping, rebound etc etc and the feel is still not coming through.
I did some track days a few years back where i had replaced everything on my zx7rr i had then and usually the zx was sweet handling practically straight away for the rack however i was very unsure of the bike due to the feelings of it. After the wkend i went away thinking whats wrong with this POS so the following weekend i took some michelin rubber to replace my "then" pirelli's and boy i was near on 3 seconds on my own lap times quicker. I had tried everything from forks etc etc and changed tyre pressures over and over etc. The feel from the miches was INSTANT! Just goes to show. :) That was my personal experience anyway.
