Lets just see the truth when Honda brings out its 'customer' MotoGP bikes.
Do you really think that those bikes won't be on Showa suspension? And... don't you think it would be unlikely that Honda/Showa would miss the trick of being able to use Gresini-sourced data to get the base construction and base susepension set-up on their customer bikes? Honda can't risk these bikes being hopelessly uncompetitive, so my guess is Gresini IS effectively testing for Honda - Honda need the data.
HRC Repsol reluctantly switched away from Showa when they couldn't match Ohlins. I'm sure Honda would love to be able to improve Showa enough so they could displace Ohlins as 1st choice in MotoGP.
