As a local resident who knows these hills well, having walked them for over 50 years, I think I am qualified to say that the planners don't really have a clue as to what they are taking on. It will not only destroy a beautiful area, but the landscape and weather combined are not conducive to such a project. The track will be washed away, eroded and events ruined.

The idea is good in theory, and may well have the backing of university taught engineers. But they have no experience of the area.

I've watched the workmen already, as they visit the site for investigations, even prior to the granting of planning permission. Even their driving on the mountain tracks shows a total lack of awareness of the environment, and a total disrespect for the residents and wildlife.

My views are here so that in the years to come, noone can say that they weren't warned, after the countless £millions have been wasted. Thank you for your time.
