Where does the mentality come from that makes some here think they can just throw some parts together and have a competitive bike? The Honda and Yamaha have taken years to evolve and millions of engineering dollars. Guaranteed Honda has spent more on their ECU (fuel, etc) than it takes to re-engineer and build 5 complete CRTs. Frames are a black art, too stiff or too flexible and it will pitch you off, just as Rainey. Not to mention the geometry, center of gravity, etc. They make changes in millimeters. It takes years to get a bike competitive. A bit more fuel isn't going to make up for the specially designed engine that a competitive MotoGP has.
And anyone who has written code knows good and well you just don't slap a few lines of code together and all is good. A good embedded system that contains all the functionality these things have, the number of lines of code could easily go into the hundreds of thousands. Not to mention the thousands of hours to debug.
