You have to ask yourself why Moto2 grew so fast and new teams and sponsors wanted in. Also why the M2 and M3 class is providing good racing and interest.

Note the bikes are nothing like as fast as MotoGP or as technically advanced. Yet the spectacle and the excitement are way, WAY ahead of what MotoGP delivers in terms of thrills, and in terms of the value to teams and Sponsors.

Moto2 began to start to smell bad with Marquez/Repsol again spending big to buy an advantage in M2, and with an unfair 'no minimum weight' in an otherwise controlled class. That at least was looked at as soon as MM won the WC and left.

The message is clear - make a level playing field and affordable costs - then great racing, interest and investment follow. MotoGP relies on personalities and hype, and superficial veneer to hide the fact its actually a dire mis-managed mess.
