Yamaha racing boss Lin Jarvis has revealed that the factory could have a seamless shift gearbox ready for testing early next month.

0.1 sec of acceleration per shift, not time....

So you'll lose about 1mph per shift against the other bike. However in the lower gears the bikes are acceleration limited by their tendancy to lift the front wheel, the right electronices can pulse the power to lift the front prior to the shift so the net lose of acceleration (in the lower gears) can be ****** all.
