Ratthapark Wilairot is to retire from grand prix racing with immediate effect and be replaced for the remainder of the Moto2 season.

They play down in the article the impact (no pun intended) of Marquez's crazy actions that seriously injured Rattapak and put him out of racing and back into a hospital bed.

Marc Marquez got away very, very lightly with riding in a manner that really could have killed someone - its not stretching it to say that if he had not been who he is, then the punishment meted out would have been a lot more severe.

As has been said, this lad did show promise and have pace, and its a sad thing he has to retire at just 25 (and basically his competitive career ended with his crashes even younger).
