Ducati will never admit that the 'L4' engine layout is the major problem with that bike. The engine is just too long to move about between the wheels to get the correct weight distribution, as such they are stuck with a handling problem that won't go away. The new parts they need boil down to a new engine, a more traditional V4 would do it without too much work. The bottom end being easier to rework than the top.

I'm sure they know this, but find it hard to admit that they are wrong. I really don't think there is anything significant wrong with the rest of the bike, which is why they can't come up with new parts to solve the problem. They see the L4 as their USP, but what's the point in a USP if it's costing you races?
