In a surprise move, Tech 3 has announced that Danny Kent - previously confirmed at the team for 2014 - will now leave at the end of this season.

Agree with the majority of posters here.
The sport is mainstream in Spain and to some extent in Italy. But pretty much everywhere else it is bikers only who support the sport and they account for 4% of 'drivers' in the UK.
But I would disagree with those who say BP doesn't have any involvement. Castrol is a wholly owned subsidiary of BP and has a long history with racing, including PATA (Ten Kate) Honda at present.
Shell has also been a consistent and long-time supporter of the sport & is involved with Ducati.
But both are 'industry' players, targeting bikers as customers. Where are Vodafone, or BAE, or AstraZeneca or GSK or Unilever or any of the big Banks? Nowhere to be seen.
