BJR: Makes you wonder what that 2-axis accelerometer was doing on the swingarm of Pedro's bike looking at up/down and forward/backward accelerations? The one clearly shown next to the broken rear wheel speed sensor wire..

Pure logging or does the ECU make use of it as well?

If the user options provided to deal with a slipping rear tyre are too clunky, being able to rewrite the software is a significant advantage.

The rules changed for this year. I can't remember the details for previous rules re electro-software trickery, but the new ones use the control ECU gyroscopics. Outboard modules are permitted, with some constrants on what they do.
