You raise some good points from time to time but let me tell you you're have a disaster on this one. Change is part of the game in GP, if Dorna were that keen on their golden goose, Ducati-Rossi marriage wouldn't have failed that spectacularly.

Well said. If Dorna really controlled things, the obvious thing for them to do would be have VR test the Duc before entering a contract. When he rode it and saw it was a pile, Dorna could have told him not to sign with Duc. Simple, and less work for everyone than what actually happened.
