Valentino Rossi's new sponsorship deal with Monster Energy is reputed to have cost the drink's company in the region of $3,000,000 - for which, it appears from the pictures released by Fiat Yamaha during Monday's online launch, they have acquired the front chin strap area and visor sides on the Italian's helmet.

The Monster logo has taken the place of Kerakoll, which was also previously the leading sponsor on Rossi's cap. No pictures of Rossi's 2009 cap were released at the launch, but it seems likely that Monster's claw logo will now be the most prominent image.

Monster Energy backed the Kawasaki MotoGP team in 2008.
