Tech 3 Yamaha riders Colin Edwards and James Toseland look set to continue with a plain black livery on their YZR-M1s at next weekend's Qatar test.

The satellite Yamaha team, which has been without a title sponsor since Dunlop in 2007, raced in a 'logo-less' blue and yellow last season - but rumours have been circulating that former Kawasaki sponsor Monster Energy may back the team in 2009.

"I'd love to tell you what colours we will be racing in this year but, and this is not because I don't want to tell you what is happening, I've still got no idea," Poncharal told Crash.net. "However I'm really confident that by 'GP zero', which is Jerez at end of March, we will have the right colours and maybe before. I'm working on it..."

The Jerez test marks the last track action before the first round of the 2009 MotoGP World Championship takes place at Qatar on April 12.

Yes no imagination from Tech3. That yelow-blue combination was awful last year. They should have tryed to get some local companies to do one race sponsorship and design the livery to their trade mark or something...(in Malaysia Petronas for instance, etc...)
They seem to be short on people in advertiseing and in the creative thinking department... If Herve is by and chance reading this site, I'm offering my services free of charge :) to the Tech3 team!
