de Puniet to sleep happy.

Randy de Puniet may have only been tenth fastest out of the eleven riders that recorded a reasonable lap time during the rain-interrupted opening night of testing at Qatar, but the Frenchman insists he will sleep happy after making progress with his LCR Honda.

de Puniet completed 18 laps during the reduced track time available, with his best time during the damp and dirty track conditions 2.8sec behind Nicky Hayden.

"I can go to sleep with a good feeling. In fact I was not happy when I left Sepang because I hadn't found the right position on the bike,” said de Puniet. “This evening we only did 18 laps because of the rain, but they were enough for finding a good position on the bike, so I'm confident for tomorrow."
