Moriwaki launch Moto2 bike.

Moriwaki used the Japanese Grand Prix at Motegi to unveil the latest version of its MD600 Moto2 machine (see additional pictures below).

The 600cc four-strokes are due to race in 2010, probably alongside the 250cc World Championship, which they will eventually replace.

The Moto2 class will feature prototype chassis and a single engine supplier. The identity of the engine supplier is still to be announced.

Moriwaki, which made occasional 990cc MotoGP appearances with a Honda-powered prototype, initially intends to act as a chassis supplier for Moto2, rather than run its own race team.

By Moriwaki standards this looks like a production bike! There 990cc looked much more exotic - I was hoping the same with the Moto2. At least the exhaust and forks/brakes set-up looks the part!
