Dovizioso aiming to up the pace.

Andrea Dovizioso says that the podium performances of team-mate Dani Pedrosa at the last two rounds have 'motivated' him.

Dovizioso has finished fifth, fifth and eighth in his first three Repsol Honda rides while Pedrosa - who missed vital pre-season testing time due to injury - has claimed third and second at the last two rounds.

Both riders have made clear that the RC212V needs to improve, but Dovi admits that Pedrosa is currently getting more from it.

“I always look forward to racing in Le Mans and I'm determined to work really hard this weekend. I know that I have to improve and we also need to focus on getting the best out of our machine package,” said the #4.

“Dani's recent results in Japan and Spain have given me extra motivation because he's shown what the bike is capable of. I have always had good results at this track so I'm hoping I can repeat those.

“The circuit is quite slow and narrow, and it has a lot of changes of direction - it's a technical track. The changes to the first chicane have robbed Le Mans of part of its fascination, which is unfortunate, but it's still a circuit I like.

“The only issue here is the weather, because it rains quite often and we've already had enough rain this year!" he added.

Dovizioso won the 125cc French Grand Prix in 2004, part of a five-year podium streak which began in 2003 in the 125cc class and included three 250cc podiums. Last year he finished sixth in the MotoGP race for JiR Team Scot.

Lorenzo 99 Don't worry yourself too much, its only have been 3 races so far and there is no a clear rider that seems to win each race so far,as we have seen 3 winners in three races, and u should know this that at the moment the yamaha seems better than honda, and you should really start worrying when the honda comes to its best Dovi and Pedro will be strong!give Dovi time he is a new bike with Pedro setups, the setups which nicky couldnt ride on it but Dovi seems to be friendly with it! so don't make judgment now its too earlier!PEACE

lorenzo 99 It has only been three races and his results aren't that bad. He made a mistake and ran off track for the 8th so he should have been higher. He'll be ok, but I don't expect him to consistantly be ahead of Rossi, Stoner, Pedrosa, and Lorenzo. So I expect somewhere around 5th or so each race.
