Former MotoGP rider Jeremy McWilliams will contest the final two rounds of the International German Superbike Championship, riding a third officially-supported KTM RC8R.

The 45-year-old, who took his one and only grand prix victory in the 250cc class at Assen in 2001, will return to the Dutch track to make his KTM-Akrapovic Team debut on August 23.

McWilliams, whose last MotoGP appearance was with the ill-fated Ilmor team at the beginning of 2007, will then race in the final round of the IDM series at Hockenheim on September 13.

The Ulsterman claimed four podiums and one pole as a 250GP rider, plus two podiums and two poles in the 500cc/MotoGP class. His highest championship ranking was sixth in the 2001 250cc series.
