MotoGP's newest race winner, Andrea Dovizioso, will try new parts during this weekend's Czech Republic Grand Prix at Brno.
Despite his Donington Park victory, the Repsol Honda rider sits sixth in the 2009 MotoGP World Championship, with only half the points of title leader Valentino Rossi.
As a result, Dovizioso is willing to try the parts during the race weekend, rather than wait for Monday's post-race test session.
“We pushed to try all the [new] material during this weekend, to get the maximum amount of information,” said Dovi on Thursday. “Unfortunately we couldn't fight for the championship so it is better to try everything we can. We have a new swingarm and if the conditions are good we will try it tomorrow.”
Dovizioso's team-mate Dani Pedrosa, who has also taken one race victory this season, is fourth in the championship, 72 points behind Rossi and 21 ahead of Dovizioso.
