125: Smith fastest at Misano.

Bradley Smith got the better of Aspar Aprilia team-mate and title leader Julian Simon to lead 125cc Friday practice for the San Marino Grand Prix at Misano.

The Englishman, who returned to the podium after a three-race absent last Sunday at Indianapolis, moved ahead of Simon in the final minutes to finish the hour with a 0.323sec advantage over the Spaniard.

Third fastest was local star Andrea Iannone (Ongetta Aprilia) with German Stefan Bradl completing the top four on his Viessmann Kiefer Aprilia, 0.669sec behind Smith.

Nicolas Terol - who starts round twelve second in the championship, 52.5 points behind Simon - was only eleventh fastest for Jack & Jones Aprilia.

Good start for the weekend ! Although it's nice to see 125gp news on Crash, we could do with more detail, last year's pole time so we can see how close they were to a good lap time, weather info would be useful, was it wet or dry or windy? If people have to go to other sites for details, that's less hits for Crash.

Bradley riding with huge confidence at the moment. I hope he can keep it up throughout the weekend and give us another aggressive race performance.
