Pedrosa targets victory on home ground

Dani Pedrosa is seeking a win on home ground at Valencia as he looks to end his 2009 MotoGP season on a high
Dani Pedrosa is determined to bring his 2009 MotoGP season to a close in style by adding to his tally of victories on home ground at Valencia.

The popular Spanish rider has won four events on home ground from pole position in the recent years, including the 2007 MotoGP race, and heads into this year's finale determined to go into the off-season on a high.

Pedrosa has been in good form of late too, finishing on the podium in each of the last four races – including a second position last time out at Sepang -, but he remains 11 points adrift of Casey Stoner in the battle for third overall.

Nonetheless, Pedrosa is looking forward to the carnival atmosphere that is likely to greet him when the takes to the Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tormo.

“I always look forward to the Grand Prix here, and this year is no different," the Repsol Honda rider said. "It's a circuit I really enjoy riding at, even though it's quite a tight layout, but what makes it really special is the way that you can feel the support from the fans all the way round the circuit. And of course, being a Spanish rider, I get a lot of positive attention here which gives you some extra motivation too.

“I've had some good results at Valencia in the past, and this weekend it would be great to finish off the year with a win - that's what I want. It's not been the easiest of seasons and we haven't been able to challenge for the championship so I'm even more determined to sign off on a high note.

“The result at the last race, where I got on the podium for the first time in wet conditions, has given me a lot of confidence too. We know it can rain at Valencia,! so we're ready for anything this weekend.”

Trannie Jane, a tourettes sufferer I see!
Lightspeed, 'bouncing back' usually means subsequent to a loss. Need you be reminded, Rossi was 'subsequently' beaten by both Stoner and Pedrosa before retaking the title. Bouncing back......must've been a googly! Hahahahahaha hahaha.
Dray, it is pretty difficult to add two numbers together isn't it? Translate it to Mexican and you'd be quicker! Hehe.
Robert, follow this goose at your peril.
