Extra track time for Bautista.

It seems that extra MotoGP test time will be available for the 2010 class rookies.

The final MotoGP track action of 2009 is due to conclude at Valencia today (Wednesday), but Suzuki has announced that it will take part in a three day test with new signing Alvaro Bautista - and test rider Nobuatsu Aoki - at Estoril next week.

Although Suzuki booked the track, it was willing to share it with other teams.

A new 'official' rookie test then looks set to be held at Sepang in Malaysia on December 21-23, although Suzuki will not be present - presumably because Bautista is to ride at Estoril - and it is not known if all other rookie riders will take up the opportunity.

After Valencia, the next test for the full MotoGP field will be held at Sepang in early February.

UPDATE: Honda riders Hiroshi Aoyama and Marco Simoncelli have indicated that they will take part in the extra rookie test in Malaysia.

@ Chief Examination Officer, If we are to use your logic as to what's fair I believe Ben should get a private test at all of the track he hasn't been to before. The 250 rookies have raced at all the tracks so that's an unfair advantage!

the limited testing rule is stupid, the rookies, guys who switch mfg and the teams who underperformed last year should get extra test time if Dorma wants field to be more competitive.
