Bautista to Estoril, extra test for MotoGP rookies - updated

It seems that extra MotoGP test time will be available for the 2010 class rookies.

The final MotoGP track action of 2009 is due to conclude at Valencia today (Wednesday), but Suzuki has announced that it will take part in a three day test with new signing Alvaro Bautista - and test rider Nobuatsu Aoki - at Estoril next week.

Although Suzuki booked the track, it was willing to share it with other teams.

A new 'official' rookie test then looks set to be held at Sepang in Malaysia on December 21-23, although Suzuki will not be present - presumably because Bautista is to ride at Estoril - and it is not known if all other rookie riders will take up the opportunity.

After Valencia, the next test for the full MotoGP field will be held at Sepang in early February.

UPDATE: Honda riders Hiroshi Aoyama and Marco Simoncelli have indicated that they will take part in the extra rookie test in Malaysia.

Whoa everyone calm down!!! Where have you heard Dorna or anyone say all rookies EXCEPT Ben spies can test??

Thats right you haven't. The only issue here is one you should all be aiming at Yamaha and Tech 3 as they have not got the Funds for a test (they spent them on Ben's early test last weekend remember!). If they had the money He would be testing but as JT and Colin found out last year the team DOES not test even if they are still at the track from the Sunday race!! Aim your rant at the right people not Dorna (this time!!)
