Valentino Rossi is planning to have another outing in a Ferrari Formula 1 car next year after reportedly having his request accepted by Stefano Domenicali.

Having wrapped up another MotoGP title this season with Fiat Yamaha, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Rossi could be back in an F1 car as soon as January.

The Italian has already tested for Ferrari on a number of occasions, most recently towards the end of the last year, while rumours of him making the jump to the sport have been persistent ever since he expressed an interest in making a four-wheel switch.

For the moment though, Rossi, whose Yamaha contract runs out at the end of the 2010 season, insists his future is in MotoGP, with this test coming after apparently texting his request to Ferrari team boss Domenicali.
