Surgery for Lorenzo.

2009 MotoGP World Championship runner-up has revealed, via Twitter, that he has undergone a shoulder operation.

The surgery saw the removal of a metal plate inserted into his left shoulder in 2005.

Unlike his punishing rookie season, Lorenzo was largely unharmed during his second year in the premier-class, which he finished 45 points behind Fiat Yamaha team-mate Valentino Rossi after taking four race wins.
