As a reward for finishing runner-up in the 2009 125cc World Championship, behind only team-mate Julian Simon, the Aspar team rewarded Bradley Smith with some laps on a 250cc machine at a recent test at Valencia.

Smith has already signed to remain with Aspar Aprilia in the 125cc class for 2010.

I've got to agree- this reward sucks. Bradley has no doubt ridden 250's before- I know for a fact he did a track day last year at Cartagena on a 600 and I'm sure he's played with other bikes. It'd be different if he was given a test of the new Moto 2 bike- at least that'd show they respect his thoughts and opinions as a development rider, and trust him the new toy. But an outing on a now defunct 250? " Here Bradley, knock yourself out on this. We're retiring this bike as we've got nowhere to race it so we thought you may as well have a go on it first..." Bradley Smith is worth more than that!!!
