The final day of MotoGP testing at Sepang in Malaysia has got off to a wet start, resulting in only eleven of the 17 riders completing a lap after the first one and a half hours of available track time.
The track action was briefly interrupted when a dog appeared near the track!
Ducati's Nicky Hayden (14 laps) is presently fastest on the steadily drying surface, just ahead of Gresini Honda's Marco Melandri (13 laps) and Aspar Ducati rookie Hector Barbera (8 laps) - who set an impressive tenth fastest lap time in the dry on Thursday.
The three 2010 MotoGP pre-season tests have already been reduced from three days each to two days (for race riders).
UPDATE: As of 12pm, three hours after the track opened, all riders are back in the pits. The weather remains overcast and the track continues to dry slowly. It is now a 'patchy' half-wet/half-dry.
The top three laps times are still those set this morning by Hayden, Melandri and Barbera.
The six riders who have not yet completed a Friday lap are: Valentino Rossi, Jorge Lorenzo, Ben Spies, Aleix Espargaro, Alvaro Bautista and Randy de Puniet.
