Injured Lorenzo to miss Qatar test?

Valentino Rosso's team-mate Jorge Lorenzo may not be able to take part in next month's Qatar test.
Jorge Lorenzo's preparations for the 2010 MotoGP season have been dealt another blow after it emerged that in addition to missing the test in Sepang next week, he could also be forced to sit out the one in Qatar too.

The Fiat Yamaha man injured his hand last week during motocross training near Barcelona. He was subsequently taken to hospital where he was diagnosed with a fracture at the base of the first metacarpal and a displaced thumb.

Lorenzo was examined by doctor Augusto J. Casanovas on Tuesday and according to reports by official MotoGP website, while he is 'recovering well', his attendance at the final pre-season test from March 18-19, is doubtful.

"At the moment there are serious doubts as to whether Jorge will be fully recovered for the Qatar test," Lorenzo's press manager, Hector Martin confirmed to motogp.com.

"We must wait and see how his injury and rehabilitation go after he has his stitches removed, which will be next Friday or Monday."

Lorenzo finished runner-up to Rossi in the 2009 MotoGP standings.

the fact that they don't share Data means that on RACE WEEKEND Data will not pass directly from Garage to Garage!!! the Yamaha engineers will get all the data and THEY will pass it to each garage after the race weekend. Lorenzo is lucky to have such a strong team that will do all the work for him. when he gets to Qatar all the testing data will be there to look at!!! Good luck and get well!!!
