Lorenzo 'to return for Qatar test'

Yamaha MotoGP boss Masao Furusawa has told that Jorge Lorenzo will be back in action during the next pre-season test, at Qatar on March 18-19.

The young Spaniard, team-mate to reigning seven-time MotoGP world champion Valentino Rossi at Fiat Yamaha, fractured his right hand in a motocross accident shortly after the first test of 2010 - forcing him to miss this week's return visit to Sepang.

The injury, which required surgery, also raised 'serious doubts' about whether Lorenzo could return in time for the third and final pre-season test.

However, when asked on Thursday at Sepang, Furusawa said that Lorenzo - presently undergoing physiotherapy - will be fit to ride at the Qatar test and also able to attend an upcoming PR event in Indonesia.

The first round of the 2010 MotoGP season is also at Qatar, on April 11.

This is good news, Jorge must be relieved that all the Yam's so far at this test and the previous one are at the pointy end........the M1 obviously has no major issues to sort out It shouldn't take him long to get on the pace
