Hiroshi Aoyama has gone under the knife for a minor surgical procedure on his hand, although the reigning 250GP champion will be fit to compete at the upcoming French Grand Prix.
Aoyama underwent surgery in Barcelona to cure an issue with a hand after suffering from a loss of sensation towards the end of races, according to Bikeracing.it
Nonetheless, the three-week gap between Spanish and French grands prix has given the Interwetten Honda rider more than enough opportunity to recover, ensuring there is no doubt that he will race at Le Mans.
In the meantime, Aoyama has paid a visit to RCD Espanyol, who is sponsored by the Spanish division of the Austrian betting company.
Before the start of the game the MotoGP bike, which Aoyama took to tenth on his MotoGP debut at Qatar, was presented on a stage in front of the official team truck at the stadium´s entrance. Numerous fans came together to welcome the MotoGP rider.
Another great sportsman joined the stage with Aoyama to say Hello to the soccer fans and welcome them to the game. It was the RCD Espanyol player Iván de la Peña who accompanied Aoyama and he presented him with several presents.
