Moto2: Abraham switches chassis

An RSV chassis might not be present on the Moto2 grid this weekend at Le Mans after Cardion AB, the RSV's last remaining team following Aspar's recent switch to Suter, also decided to change its chassis supplier.

Cardion AB, which runs Czech rider Karel Abraham, has finished 14th and 28th in the first two rounds.

According to the official MotoGP website, the team has suffered problems with set-up and aerodynamics and has now decided to switch to the British built FTR chassis.

Alex Debon is the only rider presently using the FTR - although the Speed-up chassis used by Gabor Talmacsi and Andrea Iannone is based on the FTR - and took second place in round one at Qatar. FTR took victory in the recent CEV round of the Spanish Moto2 championship, with Kev Coghlan.

However, since Cardion AB's FTR may not be ready in time for this weekend's round, free practice for which starts on Friday, Abraham may continue with the RSV at Le Mans.
