Simone Corsi, JiR and the Motobi chassis all took their first Moto2 podium courtesy of a third place finish by the Italian in Sunday's third round at Le Mans.

Having carefully nursed his tyres in the early stages, Corsi rose from eighth on the grid to fourth on lap seven, then finally got the better of countryman Andrea Iannone to claim his rostrum finish by two seconds.

"I'm extremely happy with this result," said Simone, who had finished eighth and fifth in the first two rounds.
