Yamaha poised to tie Honda MotoGP win record
Having won all three races so far this season, Yamaha is now on the brink of equaling Honda as the most successful manufacturer of the four-stroke MotoGP era, in terms of wins.

Jorge Lorenzo's victory last time out at Le Mans was the 54th for Yamaha since the introduction of the four-stroke MotoGP class in 2002. Heading into this weekend's Italian Grand Prix, Honda has 55 victories during the same period.

The year-by-year wins for each factory MotoGP manufacturer are shown below, and illustrate how the balance of power has changed...
