Dutch TT to be shown on BBC red button

Various clashes forces the Dutch TT to be shown on the BBC's red button interactive service
The 2010 Dutch TT will be shown on BBC's interactive service, rather than on terrestrial television, due to it clashing with several sporting events this weekend.

Unique in that the race takes place, as per tradition, on a Saturday, live coverage of the Assen event will be shown on the 'red button' and online.

The moves has come about as a result of several major sporting events taking up airtime on BBC's two terrestrial channels, most notably the F1 qualifying session for the European Grand Prix at Valencia, Wimbledon and the Football World Cup.

Nonetheless, unlike some interactive services, the coverage will still be available to those who do not use Freeview.

Coverage of the Dutch TT will start at 12.40GMT, while the supporting 125cc and Moto2 events will also be shown live prior to that.

The BBC are a joke, commentary is awful, presenting is awful, disgusting. I never thought I'd be able to wait an hour and watch eurosports motogp coverage(not live) but I have been and will continue to do so. Toby, Jules, Spalders, I salute you
