Lorenzo targets three-in-a-row in Spain

The Spaniard wants to make it a second win in Spain this season around the venue he considers 'very special'.
Jorge Lorenzo heads to his home event in Barcelona eager to continue his relentless roll towards the 2010 MotoGP title following back-to-back wins at Silverstone and Assen.

Although the Catalunya Grand Prix is one of four events to be held in Spain this season, the Barcelona event is the closest to his home town of Mallorca, a factor which makes this race particularly special for him.

Having come off second-best in a classic final lap exchange with Valentino Rossi last season, Lorenzo is eager to make amends this year by making it three wins in three weeks.

"Montmeló is a very special track for me, it is the closest to Mallorca and I can feel the people supporting me. Last year I lost at the final corner but now I will try to come back to the podium to celebrate with all my fans.

“We have a big gap in the standings and it give us confidence and allows us to be calm, but the team will be working at the same level, I am sure. We still have twelve more races, double what we've already had! We should enjoy Montmeló and then, after these three consecutives races, we have earned a little break - a week for a rest!"

Lorenzo's win at Assen – his fourth of the season – has seen him move 47 points clear of Dani Pedrosa in the overall standings.

Well, it will be great see Jorge having to CHASE his hat trick, rather than run away with it. Please, this is not about Rossi could have, should have, would have. He's there until further notice. Jorge is here and now. All the best Jorge and I hope Casey, Dani and a few others find a solution to make you work for it.!!!
