Moto2: Iannone takes third pole in Barcelona

Andrea Iannone secured his third pole of the 2010 Moto2 season, and second in a row, at Catalunya on Saturday.

The Fimmco Speedup rider, who has scored dominant wins from his two previous poles, finished the scorching hot session 0.267sec ahead of Yuki Takahashi, who claimed his best qualifying of the season with the Tech 3 team.

Thomas Luthi, riding fresh from collarbone surgery, was third fastest for Interwetten, with fellow Moriwaki rider and title leader Toni Elias completing the front row for Sunday's seventh round.

Silverstone winner Jules Cluzel will start from the head of round two, ahead of Pons stand-in Carmelo Morales with second in the championship Shoya Tomizawa seventh after a late fall from his Technomag-CIP (Suter).
