POLL: Rossi's 2011 team

MotoGP superstar Valentino Rossi has finally confirmed that he will leave Yamaha for Ducati at the end of this season.

Rossi joined Yamaha at the start of 2004 and has won four of his nine world titles with the factory, but will now try to become the only rider to win the 500cc/MotoGP crown for three different manufacturers.

Ducati has only won the MotoGP title once, with Casey Stoner, in 2007.

Rossi needed a new motivation and with Lorenzo being fast and young Yamaha would have been nuts to let him go in favour of Rossi who is moving towards the later stages of his career. For Rossi to move to an Italian team and now try and beat Lorenzo and his old team on a different bike would seem to be a good move on Rossi's part and will make the championship that more exciting which it certainly needs.Rossi is a class act and it won't take him very long to make the Ducati the sort of bike he wants it to be and he will win races on it next year.Everyone thought he was nuts to move to Yamaha but he made it a title winning bike in his first year which was unbelievable but thats Rossi for you :)

The obvious has finally happened. Despite Valantinos superhuman talents as a rider his career skills have now bettered all his on track antics. At a time where his teamate has come of age he chooses to become an Italian hero with a huge payday. It really can't go wrong. Its like God on a Ducati. If Jorge beats him then it will only be because Rossi made the M1. If he loses to someone else it will be an underperforming Ducati as it has been all through 2010. If he wins it will prove he really is god. Where is the down side? If he had stayed put and was to be beaten by his team mate or anyone else he would have been beated fair and square which is not the way a legend should be remembered.
