The Repsol Honda rider, second in Sunday's race, has both a Honda test bike and his usual RC212V to try today and the fall occurred while using his 2010 machine.

As of 3.00pm local time, Pedrosa is third fastest on the timesheets with the RCV test bike, 0.675sec behind Jorge Lorenzo (Yamaha) and 0.1sec behind Casey Stoner (Ducati).

Pedrosa's best time on his 2010 bike is 0.48sec slower than on the test bike.

Team-mate Andrea Dovizioso is eighth fastest.
