Two Friday sessions return fro Estoril, Valencia

After a successful trial of two Friday practice sessions - for the first time since 2008 - at this weekend's Aragon MotoGP round, it has been decided to repeat the format during the final two events of the season at Estoril and Valencia.

The three flyaway races prior to Estoril - in Japan, Malaysia and Australia - will continue with the single Friday session, presumably because support race programs are already in place.

As at Aragon, each practice and qualifying session will be 45-minutes long at Estoril and Valencia - rather than one-hour each for the single Friday format.

Unlike Aragon, the Estoril and Valencia schedule will see 125cc practice and qualifying take place before MotoGP and Moto2 after.

Moto2 had swapped with 125cc for Aragon, after complaints from the MotoGP paddock that the large 600cc field changed track conditions noticeably on race day.
