With thousands of votes cast since the poll opened four days' ago, the verdict of Crash.net
viewers is clear - Valentino Rossi should withdraw from the remainder of the 2010 MotoGP World Championship and undergo surgery on his injured shoulder.
Rossi, the outgoing seven time world champion, is to decide if he will complete his final season with Yamaha only after the forthcoming flyaway races in Japan, Malaysia and Australia.
However, 74% of Crash.net
viewers agreed with former world champion Wayne Gardner, who has advised Rossi - without a win since round one in Qatar - not to hesitate and go for surgery now, in order to get in shape for 2011 and his new start at Ducati.
17% thought Rossi should have surgery after the flyaways, meaning he would miss the last two rounds, while just 9% thought Rossi should ride until the end of the season.

If Rossi does miss races this year, it will open up the possibility of 2011 Tech 3 Yamaha rookie Cal Crutchlow making an early MotoGP race debut as a substitute.
