Pedrosa falls at Motegi

Dani Pedrosa hurt in opening minutes of Motegi practice.
Dani Pedrosa, one of only two riders that can now win the 2010 MotoGP World Championship, has crashed hard after just six minutes of Friday practice for the Japanese Grand Prix at Motegi.

The Repsol Honda rider lost control under braking. Pedrosa initially limped away from the bike, but was clearly in pain and had to be carried away from the track on a stretcher.

UPDATE: The first reports from the medical centre state that Pedrosa is undergoing x-rays for a suspected collarbone injury.

Pedrosa has won four races this season and is 56 points behind title leader Jorge Lorenzo with five rounds to go.
