Moto2: WSS champ to enter final rounds

Kenan Sofuoglu to make grand prix debut at Estoril
Newly crowned double World Supersport champion Kenan Sofuoglu is to race in the last two rounds of the 2010 Moto2 season, at Estoril and Valencia.

The Turkish star will ride in place of the late Shoya Tomizawa at the Technomag-CIP team. Tomizawa took the team's Suter chassis to one victory, one further podium and two poles before his death at Misano.

Sofuoglu, whose WSS season with Ten Kate Honda finished last Sunday at Magny-Cours, looks set to move to Moto2 full-time in 2011.

Looking at what Michele Pirro achieved, I think it'll be a culture shock for the audience seeing a stranger hop on a moto2 bike and go straight for a podium. His decision came after he rode a Kalex Moto2 bike pre-season, and you'd have thought he found a treasure map or something by his comments. We'll see how accurate a map that was. But 600cc's are his thing.

I'm getting the popcorn already, I think this kid will be fast on a Moto2....remains to be seen if he can deal with 40 other piranhas on the track at the same time though.... Slower engine on a faster chasis means to me he WILL ride the wheels of that thing.
