Scott Redding lost out on his first ever grand prix pole position with the chequered flag waving at Phillip Island on Saturday.

de Angelis took his first Moto2 podium with second place for the JiR team at Sepang last weekend.
Stefan Bradl will start third on the grid for Viessmann Kiefer Racing, with former 125cc world champion Mike di Meglio enjoying by far his best qualifying of the year with fourth place for Aspar.
