As confirmed last week, Carlos Checa will replace Mika Kallio at Pramac for the final two MotoGP events of the season and he has set his sights on getting some 'positive results'.

Checa, who has spent the last three seasons in the World Superbike Championship, added while he knows it won't be easy coming back in, he is still up for it and keen to do as well as possible.

"I really want to thank the Pramac Racing Team for believing in me and for this wonderful gift!" Checa said. "After three years it is a great pleasure for me to return to the MotoGP world. I have some wonderful memories.

"So many things have changed over the three years - both on the mechanical front and in the MotoGP world, but many others have remained unchanged [too].

"I know I should not expect too much because the Ducati Desmosedici GP10 is very different to the bike with which I have run this year. But I know many of my opponents and I will do my best to fight shoulder to shoulder with them and to try to finish these two races with positive results," concluded Checa, who won three events in this year's WSBK championship and who finished in third place in the standings.
