Jonathan Rea is to make his MotoGP
debut on Tuesday during a test session for Honda.
The Ulsterman, who finished fourth in this year's World Superbike championship for Ten Kate Honda, has been invited to help HRC in a private test at Sepang in Malaysia.
"First day of MotoGP
test at Sepang tomorrow. Got my riding position sorted today. Let's hope the weather holds up," Rea, a six-time WSBK
race winner, wrote on his Twitter page earlier today (Monday).
race riders are unable to test until the next official outing at Sepang in February, but Rea - like other non-race riders - has no such restrictions.
Rea was lined up to make a MotoGP
race debut for Team Roberts at Donington
Park in 2007, but his packed schedule - BSB
and the Suzuka 8 Hours - meant it was called off.
