Moto2: Cardus to QMMF

Ricard Cardus, whose place in the SAG team has been taken by Santiago Hernandez for 2011, will continue in Moto2 after securing a ride alongside Qatari Mashel Al Naimi in the QMMF Racing Team.

2011 will be the 22-year-old's Spaniard's first full grand prix season, having arrived at SAG as a replacement for Bernat Martinez from Sachsenring onwards.

Cardus took a best finish of 20th during his nine appearances on the Bimota.

Al Naimi also failed to score last year, riding the BQR-Moto2 bike for Blusens STX.

What a joke. Moto 2 is just full of rich kids. This team are running a rider (Al Niami) who in 17 races failed to score a single point and cardus who in nine races (half a season) didnt score either and both have full time rides. Totally takes the apeal away from the series. It should be filled with the best riders not the richest.

Too true Simon.. Feeder for MotoGP?..The bikes are too slow and provide little relevance for the riders but it would be good to see some of the better, well funded teams take their new found 4T and prototype chassis experience to the big class in 2012, with CRT bikes. A lot of folk will be looking at Abrahams performance next year with critical interest.
