It has been announced that the 2011 season-opening Qatar MotoGP round will be held over four nights, rather than the usual three.

The change to the normal MotoGP race-weekend format has officially been made so that all classes can practice at night.

Presumably, cold temperatures in the early hours meant the event could not stick to three nights and simply start later each night.

Note that warm-up for the 125cc and Moto2 classes will now be held on a different night to the actual races!
